Straits Resources Ltd’s chairman and executive director Alvin David Toms has reduced his direct and indirect interest in the company by 500,000 fully paid shares at $3.30 per share in an on-market trade for a consideration of $1,650,000. Mr Toms now holds 30,605,989 shares valued at $100,999,764 following the disposal. Up to the date of change, March 24, Straits Resources’ share price had risen close to 80 per cent in the past year, almost doubling the value of Mr Toms’ shareholding over the period. Mr Toms has more than 35 years’ experience in founding, developing and financing resource and construction companies in the Pacific Region. He has established and managed enterprises associated with mining, contracting, marine, engineering and civil construction. Fox Resources Ltd’s non executive director Terence Streeter has increased his indirect interest in the company by 1,060,000 fully paid shares in on-market trade for a consideration of $434,600. Mr Streeter now holds 16,730,444 fully paid shares following the change.
