Seven West Media chairman Kerry Stokes has acquired more than 1 million shares in the company in a series of transactions over the Christmas break that cost him a total of more than $1.6 million. This increases his stake in the national media group to 353.5 million shares that are currently worth $611.5 million. Mr Stokes ranked second highest in the WA Business News wealth creators list last year.
Midas Resources managing director Geoff Balfe and non-executive director Terry Streeter have been issued shares in the WA gold explorer in settlement or partial settlement of their loans to Midas. Mr Balfe has acquired 10 million shares, increasing his stake to 25.7 million shares currently worth $180,000. Mr Streeter has acquired 5.4 million shares, increasing his stake to 104.6 million shares currently worth $730,000.
