Diploma Group has been appointed to build the $11 million Fort Knox Stage 1 development at Fremantle for property developer Match Group.
The residential development will include 58 residential apartments.
It's the third project by Diploma for the Match Group including the Maymont development in Maylands.
Diploma Group's managing director and CEO Nick Di Latte said the project will be a valuable contribution to the City of Fremantle.
'Match never shy away from the challenging projects and at Maymont we worked closely together to address significant heritage considerations and delivered a quality mixed use development for the residents of Maylands and we are excited to have the opportunity to work with Match once again,' said Mr Di Latte.
It is anticipated that the $50 million second stage of the works, will commence early next year, on the adjoining building.

Diploma Group today announced it has been appointed to build the $11M Fort Knox Stage 1 development located at Lot 268 Beach Street in Fremantle, Western Australia, for Perth based property developer, Match Group.
Upon completion, the residential development is proposed to include 58 residential apartments over five levels and the building is set to achieve a NABERS 6 star energy efficiency rating.
Fort Knox Stage 1 will be the third project constructed by Diploma for the Match Group, following the successful completion of Maymont in December 2009 which included 16 retail tenancies and 42 apartments over three levels and Ottimo Apartments in Northbridge.
Diploma Group's MD & CEO, Nick Di Latte, believes the project will be a valuable contribution to the City of Fremantle.

Work has already commenced on site with completion scheduled in mid 2011.
