Property development firm Devwest Group has been given the green light for an $85 million, two-tower commercial and residential project in South Perth.
The development will comprise a 9-storey office building and a 13-storey residential tower on the corner of Richardson Street and Melville Parade.
The residential tower will house 70 luxury apartments, while the office component will provide around 6,000sqm of office space.
Both buildings, which have been designed by McDonald Jones Architects, will overlook the Swan River.
Construction will begin early next year.
Devwest executive director Chad Ferguson said the project would help underpin the City of South Perth’s plans to establish a train station precinct near the site.
“We believe this project will bring the City of South Perth a step closer to realising their vision for this exciting precinct,” Mr Ferguson said.
“It has been refreshing to work with a planning department and council that are proactive and want to see their municipality adapt and grow with the community.”
