Developing Successful Business with China
The Western Australian Chinese Chamber of Commerce (WACCC) is holding a course on developing successful business with China on July 29 at their offices in West Perth.
Doing business with China is difficult, not only for Australians or westerners, but also for overseas Chinese people. There are cultural, political and business processes that are still evolving.
This course aims to help participants to plan and develop successful business with China through deeper understanding of: China’s political, economic and business environment; Chinese culture and protocol critical to cross-cultural dealings; Chinese business development approach; Chinese negotiating strategies; and practical examples from successful business deals.
WA Chinese Chamber of Commerce vice president of international trade and West East Holdings managing director Song Huat Tan will speak at the course. Mr Tan has been directly involved in the oil and gas industry for the last 23 years, and in the last eight years has been a main contributor in two successful multi-billion dollar deals with major resource companies.
His experience in dealing with China dates back to 1979, and he is currently the advisor to several Australian companies currently developing business with China.
Tickets for the course are $350 for WACCC members, or $400 for non-members. For more information, contact WACCC at admin@waccc.com.au.
