Perth-based Decmil Group has won a $30.6 million contract to build a warehouse hub in Port Hedland for a subsidiary of BHP Billiton.
In a brief statement today, Decmil said it had been awarded a contract for the design and construction of a warehouse hub at Kingsford Business Park in Port Hedland for BHP Billiton Iron Ore.
The facility will comprise a 12,000 square metre warehouse and a 35,000sqm sealed hard-standing area.
“Construction is expected to begin in May and adds to Decmil’s long history of providing non process infrastructure to the Western Australian mining sector,” Decmil said in a statement.
Decmil shares were 0.6 per cent lower to 83.5 cents each, while BHP shares were 2.7 per cent lower to $17.25 each at 11:30am.
