Decmil has been awarded a $46 million contract from Main Roads Western Australia to design and construct a dual carriageway and overpass in Perth.

The works include the design and construction of a dual carriageway along Reid Highway from Altone Road to West Swan Road in Caversham, and the design and construction of the Arthur Street overpass.

The contract will commence immediately and is expected to be finalised in late 2020.

The works are the first major road project to be delivered under the state government's WA Industry Participation Strategy, meaning the tenderer was required to outline its plan to guarantee local work.

Earlier this month, Decmil secured a $72 million contract for balance-of-plant works at the Warradarge wind farm in WA, and it announced its joint venture with McConnell Dowell was the preferred tenderer for the $375 million Mordialloc Freeway project in Victoria.

The Osborne Park-based contractor is also undertaking several transport infrastructure projects across Australia, and it was most recently the awarded the $86 million Drysdale Bypass and the $60 million Warncoort projects in Victoria in 2018.

Shares in Decmil were flat at 86 cents each at 11am AEDT.
