Listed telco Datafast Telecommunications has acquired Bunbury’s largest local Internet service provider, OzzieNet Pty Ltd.
The announcement follows another acquisition on June 3 when the company acquired Mandurah-based ISP, TIK. Earlier the company had bought South West Internet Systems.
OzzieNet has 4,000 clients throughout the State’s South West and owns a large reseller network.
In a statement to the Australian Stock Exchange, Datafast CEO Simon Ehrenfeld said the acquisition underpinned Datafast’s previously announced strategy of adding revenue streams to existing infrastructure by growing its presence in regional areas. Datafast, which owns the EFTel brand, is also on the acquisitions trail in the eastern States having snapped up eastern States-based ISPs earlier this year.
