BROKING house DJ Carmichael is on the lookout for a new industrial analyst after Justin Stewart joined Euroz Securities earlier this week.
His departure came just a few weeks after fellow industrial analyst Peter Strachan was made redundant in a cost cutting drive.
This has temporarily left DJ Carmichael without an industrial analyst, a situation managing director Rod Beeton is working to rectify.
Another recent departure was Carmichael Capital Markets executive Michael Soucik, who also joined Euroz this month.
Mr Soucik will be working in Euroz’s corporate finance department with executive directors Karl Paganin and Doug Young.
Mr Young also came from Carmichael.
Mr Stewart has replaced Euroz industrial analyst Emma Waldon, who left the firm to travel overseas, while Mr Strachan is now working as an independent consultant.
He said he currently had three mandates to conduct “independent research and strategic work”.
Euroz has one of the largest research departments in Perth, with three resources analysts and three industrial analysts.
Managing director Andrew McKenzie said Ms Waldon was the first professional employee to leave the firm since it was founded more than two years ago. The research team at DJ Carmichael presently comprises analysts Hayden Bairstow and Paul Barsden, assisted by Wendy Chesson.
