Perth stockbroking firm DJ Carmichael has acted as lead manager to a $4.4 million capital raising by oil and gas explorer Rampart Energy.
Adelaide-based Rampart will raise $3.5 million through the placement of 55 million ordinary shares at 6.5 cents per share across two tranches.
It will raise a further $930,000 through the exercise of 15.4 million existing unlisted company options.
"We are appreciative of the strong support shown for this capital raising and welcome a number of new institutional shareholders to the company whilst we continue to strengthen the share register ahead of a busy 2014," Rampart managing director Torey Marshall said.
"We see the support of this capital raising and investment by new and existing shareholders as a strong endorsement of the strategy the company has taken."
