CURTIN University of Technology’s Centre for Aboriginal Studies has won the Neville Bonner award for its work to increase understanding of Indigenous culture in the wider community.
The centre’s Indigenous Australian Cultural Studies Program, led by Chris Heelan, aims to increase accessibility to Indigenous history, culture and contemporary issues.
The program is open to both Indigenous and non-indigenous students.
The winning team consists of Mr Heelan, Clive Walley, Catherine Donaldson, Darren Garvey and Michelle Webb.
