Curtin appoints higher ed specialist

CURTIN University of Technology has appointed higher education specialist Jane den Hollander as general manager of student, staff and alumni services within the office of university resources.

Dr den Hollander was the University of WA’s director of student services since 1996.

Before that, she worked as a consultant, including a project with the Graduate Careers Council of Australia on the development of GRADlink, a jobs database and careers network now across Australia.

Dr den Hollander spent several years in the UK where she was responsible for the establishment and management of an independent software company associated with the University of Manchester.

The company specialised in the design, development and production of innovative software solutions to the higher education sectors of the UK and Europe.

“I am looking forward to the challenge off this new position which is taking an innovative approach to the management of Curtin’s staff and students, its most significant and valuable assets,” Dr den Hollander said.
