Curtin appoints chief information officer

Mavis Miller has been appointed inaugural chief information officer in the Information Services portfolio at Curtin University.

Ms Miller has 15 years experience as head of information technology services at Curtin Business School. Before which time, she taught computing, maths and science at high school level.

Originally from Zimbabwe, Ms Miller graduated from the University of Natal with a Bachelor of Science in Mathematics and Mathematical Statistics. In 2002, she also gained a Master of International Studies from Curtin.

Ms Miller is experienced in market research, systems analysis as well as business systems coding and statistical consulting.
