Cultural tourism blueprint released
A FIVE-YEAR plan to build and strengthen Western Australia’s unique arts and cultural tourism has been released.
Called Journey Further: An Arts and Cultural Tourism Strategy for Western Australia, the document outlines the WA Government’s three key objectives in establishing the State as a cultural destination.
These are:
Ensuring Government’s tourism and arts departments work together and more closely with the private sector;
Better promotion of existing arts and cultural events to national and international audiences – including more planned education of visiting journalists; and
Capitalising on State arts and cultural images through their use in promotional campaigns.
