Geraldton-based Crothers Construction has won a $30 million contract for work on Ashdale Secondary College in Darch.
The state government has awarded the contract to Crothers Construction, according to Tenders WA.
Construction on the Ashdale Secondary College additions was scheduled to start in March 2025, the state government announced in October.
A design and technology facility and new two-storey science block are scheduled for completion by late 2026.
The two-storey building would comprise science laboratories, information technology classrooms, a digital design learning area, food technology studios and training spaces.
A single-storey building has been proposed to include design and technology workshops for jewellery and metalwork classes.
Existing visual arts and design and technology spaces in the school would be refurbished, the state government said in its announcement in October.
The $40 million redevelopment of the college is part of the state government's $1.6 billion package to build and upgrade schools over four years, allocated in the 2024-25 state budget.
Crothers Construction has been involved in major school projects in the state, having been the contractor for the $25 million St Mary's Anglican Girls School arts centre in Karrinyup and the $27 million primary school in Henley Brook.
The company is also behind the ongoing $40 million redevelopment of Rossmoyne Senior High School, under a contract awarded in mid-2023.
