Curtin University of Technology is hosting a public lecture on the above topic, July 4 at Curtin University in Bentley. Professor Peter Kenyon, professor of economic policy at the John Curtin Institute of Public Policy, and Dr Alexey Muraviev, strategic affairs analyst at the Faculty of Media, Society and Culture will be the guest speakers for this event. These two experts will discuss the recent increases in the price of oil and speculate on its likely effects on the world and Australian economies. Attendees will receive refreshments from Kirribilli Café from 5.30pm before heading to the BankWest Theatre in the John Curtin Gallery for the lecture.
