Crescent Gold has been forced to suspend operations at its Laverton gold mine due to heavy rains and localised flooding.

Crescent Gold has been forced to suspend operations at its Laverton gold mine due to heavy rains and localised flooding.

Crescent said it had evacuated its main mining camp to Laverton's community hall, and all mining and haulage operations were suspended until further notice.

At close of trade today Crescent shares were down 4.7 per cent, to $0.10.
