Emergent Resources has announced former Oakajee Port & Rail project director Geoff Cowie has been appointed to its board as non-executive director.
The company also announced non-executive director Robert Boylan would step down at the end of June.
Emergent chairman Wolfgang Fischer said Mr Cowie was the perfect fit for the restructured board, bringing more than 35 years experience in resource and infrastructure development, project management and construction contracting in Australia, China, Bulgaria, Malawi, India and Africa.
"As we progress the development of our exciting Beyondie Iron Project a key aspect will be identifying and implementing the optimal solution for the development and transportation of a large tonnage, bulk commodity. Geoff's experience and knowledge in that area will prove invaluable," Mr Fischer said in a statement.
"Geoff possesses a remarkable insight into assessing and identifying innovative transportation and infrastructure solutions, which will be well utilised as Emergent moves forward to commercialise the Beyondie iron resource."
At 10:25AM Emergent shares were steady at 17.5 cents.
