THE Australian Human Resources Institute’s Foundation of Human Resources course is an ideal practical introduction to best practice in people management, says AHRI regional manager Brett Waters.

The course covers thirteen topic areas via six one-day workshops over six weeks or a thirteen week semester distance learning program through Charles Sturt University.

Alternatively, the program can be delivered in-house, with the duration of the program individually tailored. Participants can also elect to attend only certain wokshops, rather than the entire course.

Topics covered include the human resources framework, human resource planning, job analysis/design and performance standards, recruitment and selection, performance management, remuneration and benefits and human resources development.

Participants opting to complete the three assessment requirements will receive a statement of attainment.

The next course sessions will commence on 23 September and run through to 28 October.
