Country mansion up for sale

A REAL estate brochure featuring prestige rural properties crossed The Note’s desk this week, with the lead property for sale a $2.5 million, 42 ha homestead situated in York. The property is ‘Tipperary’, a nineteenth century refurbished homestead and the seller, it turns out, is Ian Trahar, chairman and executive director of Avatar Ltd and chairman, director and chief executive of CO2 Group Ltd. Real estate agent John Garland, whose agency is managing the sale, said Mr Trahar was selling his weekender property because it was under-utilised due to his constant travelling.
