Cost conscious schools lose savings - Master Cleaners Guild of Western Australia

WHEN a school chooses to use an outsourced cleaning service it saves the Department of Education and Training approximately one third of the cost of providing the same service by departmental cleaners.

In an average high school this saving is around $100,000 over a four-year period.

Cash-strapped school principals and parents and citizens associations are starting to ask why, if they create the saving, their school gets absolutely no benefit from the money saved.
