Corporate Christmas lunch for Salvos

IN aid of The Salvation Army’s Christmas Appeal, Nedlands-based CorpAssist is organising what it hopes will be Perth’s biggest Christmas business lunch, featuring a performance by singer Kate Ceberano. The Salvation Army will provide about 13,500 Western Australians with food hampers, vouchers and toys over the Christmas period and the corporate lunch will provide an opportunity for Western Australian-based companies to support the charity through donations of non-perishable food items, toys and monetary assistance. The Christmas lunch will take place within the 1,000-capacity Perth Exhibition and Convention Centre Ballroom on Thursday Dec-ember 1 and will include a gourmet Christmas buffet and entertainment from Ms Ceberano, long-time supporter of the Salvation Army. It is also being promoted as a chance for WA’s corporate sector to foster better working relationships by rewarding stakeholders. General manager of CorpAssist, and WA Business News 40under40 winner, Jacqui Jordan, believes the end of the year, and Christmas in particular, is an ideal time to build deeper relationships with cus-tomers, clients and staff through a formal rewards program. “The whole concept of providing a reward for loyal staff and clients and linking this to corporate social responsibility can be very beneficial,” Ms Jordan said. Tickets to attend the lunch range from $145 to $185 per person, with any additional profit from the event going to The Salvation Army. Bookings for tables of 10 can be made by phoning 9389 7812 or online at
