Construction contracts and tenders November 16 to 29 2017

Universal Constructions has won a $13.3 million contract for construction of the second stage of the primary school in Meadow Springs, near Mandurah, which the Department of Education website says will be named Oakwood Primary School. The $2.8 million stage one contract was awarded to Shelford Constructions in July. While the first stage consists of bulk earthworks and the construction of the pre-primary and kindergarten facilities, the larger second stage is for the remainder of the school, including classrooms for years 1-6. The project, initially budgeted at $15.5 million, was announced in January, and will accommodate up to 430 students when it opens in 2019. In August, Universal Constructions was awarded the $2.9 million contract for stage one of Aveley North Primary School.

The Department of Communities has awarded an $879,508 contract to White Building Company for the construction of two four-bedroom, two-bathroom dwellings in Katanning.

Enviro Infrastructure has been awarded a $529,607 contract to perform maintenance works on three bridges: two over Kwinana Freeway in Melville, and one over Graham Farmer Freeway in Victoria Park.

The Metropolitan Cemeteries Board has awarded a $544,355 contract to Devlyn Constructions for stage two of remediation works on Fremantle Mausoleum. The work will include repairs to the roof, storm water drains, cladding, and paving at the site.
