Compass Hotel Group announces that the company's chief financial officer, Regan Cheriton, has announced his resignation for family reasons and he will be exploring opportunities overseas.

The board has decided to relocate its finance team to Perth, to work alongside the operations team and to build on reporting and analytical efficiencies.

Mark Maitland will be replacing Regan as head of finance commencing 28th April 2009 with Regan moving to Perth to assist with the transition into June 2009. Mr Maitland is a Chartered Accountant with more than 20 years experience in accounting, financial and business management matters including 10 years as principal of his own Practice. In recent times Mark has been involved in senior financial roles in both the hospitality and resources industries including the last three years active involvement in a private hospitality group. Mark's experience in the acquisition, integration and improvement of hotel businesses at multiple sites will be of great benefit to Compass Hotel Group.

Although the board is very disappointed to be losing someone of Regan's calibre and determined work ethic, it wishes Mr Cheriton all the best for his future.
