Clough wins major contracts

TWO offshore oil and gas field contracts worth more than $38 million have been secured by Perth-based Clough Engineering.

The firm won a $25.6 million deal to fast-track the installation of 11 sub-sea water injection pipelines and associated infrastructure for Brunei Shell Petrol-eum’s Champion oil and gas field in the South China Sea.

It is Clough’s second contract of a similar amount with Brunei Shell Petroleum in just over one year.

Work is due to start immediately and be completed by the end of June.

It also has a $13 million contract to install sub-sea pipelines and infrastructure at the Harriet Joint Venture’s Gipsy field development off north-west WA.

“These contract wins highlight the Clough Offshore Division’s ability to broaden their operating skills and provide cost-efficient solutions in order to win more work from our existing blue-chip clients in the industry,” Clough managing director Brian Hewitt said.

“The projects strengthen our strong track record in the oil and gas sector in the region.”
