Clough forges new tunnel partnership

The Clough Group and Australian firm McConnell Dowell have formed a consortium with international construction company Obayshi, to tender for the William Street underground and innercity section of the Perth to Mandurah railway project.

Known as CityConnect, the consortium members’ portfolios include the Graham Farmer Freeway (Clough), a Blue Mountains tunnelling

project (McConnell Dowell), and almost 100 other current tunnelling contracts (Obayshi).

McConnell Dowell and Obayshi have been in partnership for 15 years on projects in Europe, Hong Kong and Singapore.

The WA Government is accepting expressions of interest for the innercity section of the railway project until April 16.
