Cheryl Clay has been appointed directorate with Department of Justice to deal exclusively with issues surrounding female imprisonment.
Ms Clay was most recently the manager of policy and stakeholder services with the South Australian Department for Correctional Services.
Ms Clay has a social work degree and postgraduate qualifications in management and public health and was a founding member of the National Forum on Working with Female Offenders, which started in 2001.
