Cirrus wins $5m govt contract

Subiaco-based Cirrus Networks has won a $5 million contract for an undisclosed federal government agency.

Under the contract, Cirrus will design, implement and support the agency’s primary and secondary data storage over the next three years, with a provision for further extensions.

A spokesperson from Cirrus said the company could not disclose which agency it secured the contract from.

Cirrus first established a presence in the nation’s capital in 2017, when it acquired Correct Communications for approximately $5 million.

Cirrus managing director Matthew Sullivan said the company was delighted to have won a competitive tender for a “significant” government agency.

“The Canberra office team continue to win key contracts with their ability to demonstrate innovative value-based solutions for clients,” Mr Sullivan said.

“It is particularly pleasing to have demonstrated the benefits of our unique consumption based charging model as the storage as a service structure becomes an important part of our market offering.”

In November Cirrus secured a $3 million contract with Woodside and in August it locked in a $2 million contract with the University of Western Australia.

Shares in Cirrus were up 5.9 per cent at 1.8 cents each at 1.50pmAEDT.
