Chrome pushes into Malaysia

#CHROME Global Malaysia has been established following a heads of agreement between Malaysia-based Amtech Solutions and Chrome Global.

The company is set to pursue health, court management and information technology opportunities in Malaysia.

Chrome Global managing director Kevin Baum said it was Chrome Global’s first entry into the international Internet and electronic commerce markets.

“We plan to use it as a cost effective springboard into the Asia-Pacific markets by using the infrastructure and network of the local partners,” Mr Baum said.

With demand for Chrome’s eHealth products high in Malaysia, Chrome Global Malaysia’s sales pipeline is worth more than $40 million.

Mr Baum said the company intended to obtain multimedia super corridor status, which would entitle it to significant research and development, and tax incentives, and to list the company on the MESDAQ (Malaysian Technology Board) this financial year.

It is anticipated Chrome Global Malaysia will be operational by mid-August.

Mr Baum said similar discussions were underway with local companies in Singapore, the Philippines and India, with income streams expected from these regions this financial year.

He said opportunities in the Asia Pacific region were excellent and he anticipated revenue growth in the group of more than 500 per cent this year.

Prior to listing on the Australian Stock Exchange, Chrome Global had a sales order pipeline of less than $1 million.

It now has a sales order pipeline of more than $100 million.
