ChevronTexaco’s Zygocki swaps MD for VP

ChevronTexaco Australia managing director Rhonda Zygocki will be leaving Perth, after being named ChevronTexaco vice president of health, environment and safety.

James (Jay) Johnson will take over Ms Zycocki’s Australian role, with the title managing director, Australasia Strategic Business Unit.

Mr Johnson is currently general manager, business planning & development, and is responsible for strategic and business planning and new opportunity assessment for ChevronTexaco Overseas Petroleum, based in California.

He began his career in 1981 in the Gulf of Mexico as an engineer and has since worked in Papua New Guinea and in Kazakhstan.

Mr Johnson holds a bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering from the University of Illinois, and a master’s of business administration from Louisiana State University.

He will commence his new role on April 1.

Ms Zygocki, who has a bachelor's degree in civil engineering, joined Chevron Canada Resources in 1980 as a petroleum engineer.
