New Western Power boss Tony Iannello will have to review his senior management team following the resignation of one of the utility’s most experienced executives.
General manager special projects Mark Chatfield is moving to Queensland to become chief executive of CS Energy.
Interestingly, CS Energy’s announcement referred to Mr Chatfield’s former role as general manager generation.
Mr Chatfield moved from that role last year when Western Power established a new management structure that was aligned with the State government’s planned four-way break-up of the utility.
Mr Iannello, formerly of BankWest, commenced as Western Power’s new managing director this week. He is the fourth managing director in two years, following the resignation of the long-serving David Eiszele, Stephen van de Mye’s early exit and the temporary filling of the job by Harvey Collins.
