Channel 9 stumps rivals

CHANNEL 9 Perth has won the third week of the 2003 survey period – thanks to the gripping finish to the World Cup Cricket match between India and Pakistan on March 1.

The station finished with 27.7 per cent of viewers, 0.6 of a point ahead of Channel 7 and 4.1 points ahead of Channel 10.

Cricket has played a big part in the station’s win, with the World Cup match between Australia and Zimbabwe on the previous Monday night delivering a peak audience of 215,424.
