Centurion Transport trucks will be rolling out further across WA, after picking up a new contract for supply to the Coles group.
The Bassendean-based Centurion purchased the contract from trucking and logistics group BIS Industries.
The scope of the contract covers the provision of general and refrigerated transport services for Coles, Kmart, Liquorland and Target brands to Albany, Australind, Bunbury, Busselton, Collie, Dunsborough, Geraldton, Kalgoorlie, Manjimup, Narrogin and Pinjarra.
"This new agreement presents an exciting opportunity for the company to broaden its offering and expand an already extensive operating area," Centurion said.
Operations for the new contract will be based out of Coles' Kewdale distribution centre, with the current BIS employees and contractors continuing to operate this service with Centurion.
BIS was originally a division of Brambles Industries and is currently owned by private equity funds managed by US group Kohlberg Kravis Roberts & Co.
Its main focus is logistical support solutions to the coal and iron ore industries.
Centurion is part of the family-owned CFC Group, established by brothers Carl and Frank Cardaci in 1968.
