Central Systems wins $7m pipeline project

Monadelphous Engineering subsidiary KT Pipelines has appointed civil construction and services firm Central Systems for construction works at Chevron’s Gorgon liquefied natural gas project on Barrow Island.

Central will undertake earthworks, site preparation and pre-cast concrete construction for KT’s carbon dioxide injection pipeline package at Barrow Island, with the combined contracts valued at over $7 million.

“The award of this work builds on our extensive experience in delivering multi-disciplined civil construction projects in the mining and resources sector,” Central Systems managing director Richard Eden said.

“In the last two years we have gone from strength to strength on the back of our ability to provide both construction and remedial project services that are both safe and of high quality.”

Mr Eden said the project would see a workforce of 25 at the peak of construction.
