Centamin cleared for Egyptian development

LOCALLY-BASED gold explorer Centamin Egypt Limited has resolved a dispute with the Egyptian Government at its operations in the country, clearing the way for development of its Sukari gold project. The project, which lies in the eastern desert of the country, now has a 30-year mining lease encompassing 160 square kilometres. Centamin has been seeking a resolution for a final approval since it filed an action towards the end of 2003.
