THE Australian Securities and Investments Commission has noted the decision of the Commonwealth Director of Public Prosecutions to abandon a retrial against Michael John MacDermott in relation to two counts of insider trading in Roehampton Resources NL shares.
The two counts were those the jury could not reach a verdict on in a recent trial.
On August 1 Mr MacDermott received a suspended 18 month jail term after being found guilty on six counts of insider trading in Roehampton shares.
The court ordered a retrial on the two counts the jury could not reach a verdict on.
