Campbell Burke’s surprise casualty

FEDERAL human services minister Ian Campbell resigned on Saturday after a meeting he had with lobbyist Brian Burke was publicly revealed. The federal government continued to attack opposition leader Kevin Rudd this week, who admitted to meeting with Mr Burke on three occasions. Premier Alan Carpenter reshuffled his cabinet after resources minister John Bowler and environment minister Tony McRae resigned following CCC revelations regarding their dealings with Brian Burke and Julian Grill.
