SOFTWARE developer Calytrix Technologies will soon open offices in North America and Europe to pursue sales of its Calytrix SIMplicity into the major defence markets
Earlier this month the company released the first commercial version of its Calytrix SIMplicity product.
Calytrix SIMplicity assists software developers to build distributed simulations more easily with the effect, according to the company, of increasing productivity and reducing project cost by at least 40 per cent.
The Australian Defence Science and Technology Organisation (DSTO), has signed a letter of intent to purchase 10 copies of Calytrix SIMplicity.
Calytrix says defence forces are a major user of simulation technology, but the commercial world is increasingly finding uses for simulation software. The simulations are used for training, analysis and product development, and reducing safety risks.
Calytrix received seed capital investment in April 2001 from the Technology Park-based Entrepreneurs in Residence.
