Calibre Group has announced that its newly-acquired subsidiary, G&S Engineering Services, has won a $46.8 million works contract for the BHP Billiton Mitsubishi Alliance in Queensland.
The deal will see G&S install coal stackers and reclaimers at the Caval Ridge coal project in central Queensland.
Works have commenced and are expected to be completed by January 2014.
“G&S is a leading provider of operations, maintenance and asset management services to the resources sector,” Calibre Group managing director Rod Baxter said.
“It has proven technical knowledge and experience on significant machine builds and in the timely delivery of quality outcomes for its clients.”
Calibre acquired Queensland-based G&S in early October, in a cash and scrip transaction worth up to $74 million.
At 12:30PM, WST, Calibre shares were down 2.5 per cent, trading at $1.16.
