Shares in Viento Group have bucked the falling trend on the ASX today, after Calibre Group director and co-founder Ray Munro was announced as its new chairman.
Viento shares were up 5.8 per cent at 27 cents, at 12:20PM, WST.
Mr Munro will receive 1.8 million Viento options, subject to shareholder approval.
Viento said current chairman Robert Nichevich would step down immediately.
“In making this announcement, the board pays tribute to the significant contribution Mr Nichevich has made to the direction of Viento,” the company said in a statement.
Mr Nichevich will continue as a director and acting chief executive.
