THE City Hotel has been sold to Carlton United Breweries.
While the deal is still to be finalised, industry sources suggest an agreement has been reached.
Australian Leisure and Hospitality Group, CUB’s hotel and pub acquisition arm, is expected to assume control of the hotel by the end of next month and will reveal details of future plans once the sale transaction is officially completed.
The hotel is owned by Perth City Council deputy mayor and prominent businesswoman Judy McEvoy.
This acquisition will take CUB to double figures in hotel and pub ownership. They currently operate Queens, the Brass Monkey, Sail and Anchor, Captain Stirling, The Como, Wanneroo, Lynwood, Willagee, and Carousel’s Foundry.
