CSC wins $30m Woodside contract

United States-based IT company CSC has exteneded its relationship with Woodside Energy, today signing a $30 million, three-year IT contract with the liquified natural gas company.

The new contract is the most recent in a series of IT services agreements between New York-listed CSC and Woodside since 2006.

Working as part of Woodside's Information Solutions and Services group, CSC will continue to provide infrastructure outsourcing and support services including service desk, field services, problem management, change management, configuration management, data centre hosting and the provision of resources for Wintel, Unix and network services.

CSC has also expanded its scope of services and is now one of two preferred suppliers on a panel that will see CSC delivering resources, consulting and project services in the areas of infrastructure and application design and implementation, architecture and the company's enterprise resource planning (ERP) solution, SAP.

"Today's contract renewal with Woodside is a result of the successful relationship we have developed over the last four years," CSC Australia president Gavin Larkings said.

"The scope of the contract will enable Woodside to better leverage CSC's full capabilities in support of their business requirements and fulfil their plans for further expansion in the North of Western Australia. We look forward to continuing our support of Woodside in what is an exciting time in Australia's oil and gas industry."
