Former WA Farmers president Trevor De Landgrafft is challenging CBH Group chairman Neil Wandel in the upcoming directors election for grains handler.
The Western Australian Electoral Commission today advised CBH there are five nominations for this year's elections, with the poll due to close on March 17.
Current director and chairman Mr Wandel is standing for re-election in the Esperance zone, with Mr De Landgrafft the only other challenger.
If Mr De Landgrafft were to bump Mr Wandel out of the directorship, Albany Zone director and deputy Wally Newman would assume chairman responsibilities until such time that the board requests a chairman vote.
In the Kwinana Zone, current director Mick McGinniss has put forward his nomination alongside candidate John Hassell.
Meantime, director Rod Madden has been re-elected unopposed in the Geraldton Zone.
All elected directors will assume responsibilities following the group's annual general meeting scheduled for April 1.
