THE Community Arts Network WA has been awarded $50,000 as part of the state government’s $10 million social enterprise fund, which was launched in 2012.
CAN WA will use the grant to develop a sustainable business model to provide art production services and skills development and training to Western Australian communities.
“This grant gives CAN WA a great opportunity to get the right expertise to explore and drive this part of the business successfully,” CAN WA chair Brian Curtis said.
The social enterprise fund is administered by the Department of Communities and is supported by the Social Ventures Australia consortium.
