Brockman awards Marillana contract

Brockman Resources has awarded the design and construction contract for the Marillana Iron Ore Project to UGL Resources.

UGL Resources is a wholly owned subsidiary of UGL Limited, a provider of project delivery services in the mining and mineral processing, oil and gas, chemicals and industrial processing industries.

The awarding of the Front End Engineering & Design (FEED) Services contract follows the completion of a Feasibility Study in September.

The company has decided to adopt an Early Contractor Involvement model.

Brockman's managing director Wayne Richards, said the award of the FEED contract represented another important milestone for the project.

He said it demonstrated the company's commitment to achieving a seamless transition from the recently completed Feasibility Study through to Bankable Feasibility Study, funding and project development.

"Building on the very strong foundations established by the Feasibility Study, the award of this contract demonstrates the commitment and focus with which the Brockman team is progressing the development of the Marillana Project," Mr Richards said.

"We are very pleased to have a company as experienced and capable as UGL, join us in the development of the Marillana Project, and we look forward to working closely with them to complete this phase of the Project's development life-cycle," he said.
