Civil and mining contractor Brierty is set to construct roads and truck parking facilities at Rous Head as part of a contract awarded by Fremantle Ports.
Under the $13 million contract for the Rous Head extension project, Brierty will develop a public dual lane access road next to the new seawall, construct truck parking facilities and community amenities areas and all associated utilities.
Work will start this month, with final completion scheduled for the end of June 2013.
Brierty said the new land at Rous Head was reclaimed through harbour deepening and will be used for port-related purposes.
