BOOM Logistics has acquired another Brambles enterprise, this time the Brambles Goldfields Crane division.
Last November Brambles sold its Perth Cranes operation to Boom, which also gained general manager Brian Praetz.
The goldfields acquisition is Boom’s first foray into this region, but unlikely to be its last WA expansion announcement.
Boom is operating from two goldfields depots – Kalgoorlie and Leinster – and has other WA operations in Kwinana, Welshpool and Geraldton.
The latest purchase was complemented with a four-year contract with WMC in the goldfields, in addition to the four-year deal Boom has for WMC’s Kwinana Nickel Refinery.
Boom CEO Rod Harmon said this week the company planned to continue its WA expansion.
Boom currently has 100 personnel in WA.
