It contains new information about the Federal Government’s Year 2000 Information Disclosure Act, known as the ‘Good Samaritan’ Act, that came into effect on 27 February 1999.
The Act offers protection to businesses disclosing their level of Y2K readiness.
The booklet discusses the latest consensus on insurance against potential legal action as result of the Y2K problem and outlines taxation benefits for businesses taking action.
Detailed information about supply chain management and contingency planning is provided, as are the basics of embedded chip systems.
Sample letters are provided for seeking supplier information about technical products and general goods and services.
