Baraka Energy & Resources has appointed Jaime Zafra as an independent technical consultant to complete a due diligence review of the Philippines Iron Sands Vanadium-Magnetite Project, its exploration budget and schedule, and identify ways to advance the project. Mr Zafra is a licensed Philippines-based geologist with 39 years of experience. He held management positions with several Philippine-focused mining and exploration companies.
Sabina Shugg AM has been appointed non-executive director of Resolute Mining, replacing Bill Price who will be retiring from the board in October. Ms Shugg is a mining engineer with over 30 years of experience and held senior operational roles with leading mining and consulting organisations. She is an industry champion for technology, innovation, and diversity in mining.
Toby Hicks has retired as non-executive director of DigitalX. He has been with the company since its inception.
Paul Lloyd has been appointed managing director of Hawkstone Mining. Richard Pearce has stepped down as non-executive director.
