Kimon Gkomozias has been appointed executive director of European Lithium and Timothy Turner has resigned as non-executive director. Mr Gkomozias was involved in business development for Talaxis, a global leader in EV technology metals project development and a strategic partner of European Lithium on the Wolfsberg Lithium Project in Austria.
Great Southern Mining has appointed Sean Gregory as chief executive and Octavio Garcia as head of exploration in Queensland. Mr Gregory is a resource industry leader with over 20 years of experience in developing projects and supporting mining operations with BHP, Murchison Metals and Mineral Resources. Mr Garcia has 25 years of exploration and development experience, and will be responsible for establishing the company’s operations in Queensland. Mark Major, chief operating officer since February, has resigned.
Stephen Harrison has resigned as non-executive director of MEC Resources in order to focus on the proposed in-specie distribution of Advent shares to MEC shareholders. His resignation will ensure his independence and avoids any conflicts of interest.
Shaun Vokes has been appointed interim chief executive of Talisman Mining, succeeding Daniel Madden who has resigned as managing director following 10 years of service. Mr Madden will remain on the board as non-executive director until November. Mr Vokes has over 25 years of experience in the mining industry within Australia and Africa, including residential roles in Tanzania and Zambia. He joined the company in 2016 and was chief financial officer and company secretary until April this year.
